I am increasingly feeling awful the more I add sugar and carbs into my body. It is almost like having an allergic reaction as I eat rice, potatoes, bread, and even desserts during these holidays. I have rapidly gotten out of control with my eating; I have no discipline!
I planned to give myself this Christmas season, starting with Thanksgiving, to be flexible and eat some of my favorite foods, but honestly, I can’t take it. My body is breaking down. These are the areas that have gotten increasingly problematic inside just one month of adding carbs and sugar into my diet:
- I feel awful. I feel exhausted and lazy for the most part.
- My sleep is horrible. I feel short of breath even throughout the day, but it worsens at night before bed.
- I am sore all the time. I have not felt sore for most of this year, but now I am hurting all over.
- I lost the feeling of satiation. I am back to eating three times daily, going for seconds and snacks in between. For most of this year, I was more than satisfied eating twice a day, sometimes once a day.
- My glucose is over 200 in the morning.
As of today, 12/25/2023, I am returning to my no-sugar, low-carb, High Protein, and High-Fat way of eating. I am going back to feeling great!
