Impacted by a Personal Study on the Azusa Street Revival

“I am Changing Physically and Spiritually”

I am currently experiencing a personal spiritual awakening. A couple of weeks ago my wife told me that she had a DVD documentary of the Azusa Street Revival. When she first mentioned the DVD I was not really interested. In my life I have heard so much about revival that I was honestly turn off about the subject. But a few days later I felt as if it was of God for me to be finally introduced to these amazing stories of revival. As I watch this DVD entitle The Azusa Street Project, presented by Global Media God Works Production (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0FWL50-G0M) I felt a fire in my soul that I can only compared to when I first gave my life to the Lord on Saturday, April 26, 1997.

I can’t stop reading about the subject, I can’t stop talking about the subject, I can’t stop thinking about the subject and I can’t stop praying for God to give us revival. I have learned so much in the last couple of weeks and many thoughts are crossing my mind. I know that in the next weeks, months or even years I will be writing more and more about this subject. I feel that I have been born again to another dimension in my relationship with God and in my view of the church. I am hungrier than ever for God; I can feel His fire like never before.

I have read many articles about the Azusa Revival in the last couple of weeks and just a few minutes ago I finished reading the first book I have ever read on this subject “The Life and Ministry of William J. Seymour” by Larry E. Martin. I must say that, after the Bible, no other book has impacted me in such powerful way as this book.

How amazing that God is leading me to learn about these stories, as I am getting ready to start a ministry in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. How amazing that I am being challenged physically and spiritually like never before. With the recent discovery of my dangerously high cholesterol, I have been force to make drastic dietary changes. I must add that an even more drastic change is taking place in my soul!
