The Prophetic Lens

In life, many times, we end what we should continue fighting for; we start what we should have never started and we press on in what already ended. These are the paths that lead us directly into the painful journey of regret and self-afflicted pain. There is only one way to avoid these paths and that is by denying ourselves. It may be tough and completely against what we feel like doing at the time; however, only God knows best and the end-result of doing His will, will always bring forth an abundance of blessings.

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Matt 16:24

So let us remember that we are not in control of life. We can control only one thing: how we respond to life. We need to take responsibility for responding in a manner that would please God, and trust that all else is in His hands. If God wants us to accomplish something, we must trust that it will be accomplished.
